Physics Olympiad Program
Laboratories under LIGO project have recently confirmed the existence of Gravitational Wave. This discovery has the promise of ushering a new era in the domain of Physics. Gravitational waves may take us to ‘places’ about which other waves reveal little information.
Cheenta Physics Olympiad Program celebrates this spirit of inquiry and problem-solving. Our rigorous problem-oriented classes
Physics Olympiad Program at Cheenta has three levels. Early Bird, Intermediate and Advanced.
Kinematics, Dynamics, Laws of Motion, Friction, Gravitation, Work, Power and Energy, Rotational Mechanics, SHM
Sound Waves, Light Waves, Wave Motion, Waves on a string, Geometrical Optics, Optical Instruments, Dispersion
Heat and Temperature, Kinetic Theory of Gases, Caloriemetry, Laws of Thermodynamics, Specific Heat
Electrical Field, Gauss’s Law, Capacitors, Conductors, Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction, Electric Current through gases.
Photoelectric effect, wave-particle duality, Bohr’s Model, X-Rays, Semiconductors, Special Theory of Relativity
“God does not play dice”
Or maybe (s)he does! Cheenta Physics Olympiad Program is purely problem and curiosity-driven. We use tools from mathematics to explore the laws of nature.
“a wide range of mathematical topics, and every lesson is packed with insights and methods. We are extremely pleased with the difference he has been making. Under his tutelage Sam has secured several gold awards from the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT)…“
Jayanta Majumdar, Glasgow, UK
“approach towards solving a problem has become more mature now. Not that he can solve each and every problem but he loves to think on the tough concepts. For this, all credit goes to Ashani, who is never in a hurry to solve a problem quickly. Rather he tries to slowly build the foundation..””
Shubhrangshu Das, Bangalore, India
“Our experience with Cheenta has been excellent. Even though my son started in Middle School, they understood his Math level and took personalinterest in developing a long-term plan considering his strengths and weakness areas. Through out the semester courses they have nourished him with challenging problems and necessary homework. His guidance has helped my son to perform well at competitions including USAJMO and others. He has grown more confident in his math abilities over the past year and halfand is hoping to do well in the future. “
Murali Kadaveru, Virginia, USA
Admission to Cheenta Advanced Program is selective. The prospective candidate is inducted into a trial process (involving an interview and a short test).
